The Hungarian Publishers’ Association

The aim of the Hungarian Publishers’ Association is to promote the success of it’s member enterprises on the field of economy and business life, to strengthen the profitability of the publishers, to explore, summarize and firmly represent their interests.

An other significant pursuit of the Association is to maintain the high professional level of the publishing trade, and to further strengthen  the position of the printed media on the Hungarian media market.

This is an association for the protection of common interests of the Hungarian magazine and newspaper publishing trade, above all negotiates, co-ordinates and represents the business interests of the fellow members towards the state- and government institutions, and non-government organizations.

The  Association provides representation for the Hungarian publishers on the various international forums and organizations. The experiences of the world’s leading media is also being transmitted to the members for their advantage.

The Association emphasizes the necessity of co-operation between all participents for the further development of the Hungarian media market, consequently the Hungarian Publishers’ Association would willingly co-operate with all the other associations on the ground of mutual interest.

The Association pays special attention to protect the freedom of the press, to maintain the  positive,  revealing role of press in public life, to maintain and strengthen it’s prestige. An equally important task is to support the quantitative and qualitative development of the self controlled Hungarian advertising market.  The Association wishes to take active role in guiding the local media market on the path where the general practice is characterized as transparent in accordance with the European standards, and the attitude  in business relationship is ethical, correct taking into consideration the mutual interest of the fellow members.

The conferences and the advertising campaigns organized by the Association all contribute  to the professional development of the member enterprises and hopefully would further increase their prestige and acknowledgement.

The Association represents the interes of the owners and employers of the press industry.
